ON VACATION

Hello everybody,
Everything was quickly planned and finally I'm traveling to TANZANIA after seven years :) It's just a wonderful green land with cold season soon approaching.
I will be there for one and half months and be back by mid-September (if plans haven't changed). I don't think I can easily connect online from there so it will be difficult to post. However, I will be very happy if I get the chance to upload my cards...
Will try to click all the beautiful scenes to share with you all. It's just thrilling!!!!
Until then, have wonderful days :):)

Vintage Card...

Hi ladies,
This is my first vintage card with lots of inks, rhinestones and layerings. The card is based on a sketch by Stamptacular Sunday Challenge.

After cutting all the papers, I distressed them with Tim Holtz Distress Ink -old paper. Later I stamped the sentiment and arranged them all to decide their exact positions. Just before gluing them, I added the e-line designer rhinestones from Prima marketing.

Hope you liked it. Thanks for visiting me...

A card for two challenges :)

Hi,
A new card created for two great challenges: Color Throwdown #100 and Unscripted Sketches #62.

Since there is a celebration at Color Throwdown for their 100th challenge, I decided not to miss the great opportunity. Wonderful gifts will be given there!!
For Unscripted Sketches, I tried to do the closest possible to the required sketch :)

Aperture Card...

Hi and welcome,
Here is my first card for the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge. They are playing Challenge #66 Aperture Creations. Also I'm submitting this to Wee Memories Challenge 'Free for All'.
It was my first trial with apertures and had to struggle a bit but I learnt many easier ways to make such cards. Since it's a mini card, I made it simple but yet elegant :)

Hope you liked it. Thanks for visiting me...

20 Common Mistakes Made By New Bloggers

Hi,
I found this very interesting and wanted to share with you all.

There is no right or wrong way to blog, this is just a list of common mistakes that I see people make which could be affecting why they aren’t experiencing the success they seek.
1. Not owning your own domain
If you want to have complete control over your blog, it is very important to own your own domain and get your own hosting. Many people won’t take a hosted blog seriously because xxxxx.blogspot.com just doesn’t look very good. Also, the search engines love real URLs. In my opinion, this is very important.

2. Not including an author bio, picture and easy to use comment section
An author’s bio adds credibility to your blog. I’m not saying you have to have a whole “about” page, although that is nice, I’m just saying to give your readers a couple of sentences explaining who you are and what you are all about. It only takes a few minutes to put it together.

TESC #118

Hi,
A new card for TESC #118!! It was fun and the sketch was so beautiful...

I made few alterations in my card and one thing that I loved most was the bow!! I adore ribbons and become the happiest person when I tie them perfectly...

Here I cut the same flower in the patterned paper and popped it on the same position. Just have a look:
