Remembering Eid

One of my Eid cards has been complaining for not featuring it. So I decided to bring back the wonderful Eid memories and show the card to you all!!!

 This card is entering for:

The card is so bright as I used Cosmo Cricket's Delovely Collection paper. I colored the alphas and Artisan Elements circles (Pink Paislee) with Copics. Then finished the card with coordinating flowers...
Hope you liked it as much as I did :)

DAY 5- TASLIMAH DAUHOO

Greetings,
Hope all have enjoyed Eid!! Our star today is Taslimah from the United Kingdom. Lets welcome her...

TASLIMAH DAUHOO

Meet Taslimah:
My name is Taslimah but my friends call me Tassy. I have a background in Fine Arts and I have taught Art and Design for four years. I guess this is the reason when I tried cardmaking, it grew on me- because I already love anything creative and crafty. But I know that even though one does not do Art, cardmaking and papercraft can be so addictive.
I have been making cards for about 6 years now and I find it to be very soothing and therapeutic. I also enjoy making tutorials on YouTube. I have noticed there isn't any Eid Greetings stamps and I am in the process of designing some. I have designed a baking set called Let's bake stamp set and it's on sale on my blog.So hopefully, I can release this set for next year.
Anyway hope you will check my YouTube: http://www.YouTube.com/user/tassycrafty

Here is some inspiration from Taslimah:

Thanks Taslimah for sharing your fabulous Eid cards with us!!Your simple style is so unique...
Ok girls, see you tomorrow with another set of fascinating cards...

DAY 4- SABRINA SULAIMAN

Eid Mubarak to all!!! Today I’d like to introduce you to Sweet Sabrina . I am sure you will love her cards!!

SABRINA SULAIMAN

Let's get to know Sabrina a little better:
Hi I’m Sabrina, from Malaysia. I am currently living and working in Singapore.
I have enjoyed cutting and pasting since I was in primary school. I had always loved stationary, papers, books and all the beautiful things I see.  I have had many scrapbooks since then to preserve my memories of life.  However, I started to blog about my passion only this year. It took me quite some times in an attempt to actually kick-start my blog. There were few reasons I decided to blog but so far I enjoy blogging and sharing my interest and thoughts with people.
Before I started blogging, I did not exactly explore the scrapbook phenomenon on the net. I know there are many people out there sharing the same interest but I never really sit and surf the net to explore this creative world. I am amazed and excited when I finally did it. I should have started blogging long ago!!  So far, I have made friends with many people around the globe who share the same passion and it is just fascinating to be able to connect with them. I am literally happy for the fact that I can speak the same language with them.

I would love to create, design and play with papers forever.  I really enjoy scrapbooking to the max, to the extent that every morning I wake up, I look forward to create a new layout or card rather than to settle my office work. But somewhere deep in my heart, I also love my compliance job. Therefore I guess, I am on my right track. There are aims and goals in life which are yet to be fulfilled, and I am certain that I know what exactly to look forward to. May God bless me and people around me.
Last but not least, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a blessed and joyful Eid ul Adha!!

Some of her adorable Eid cards:

Sabrina, I want to thank you for sharing your creativity and talent with us all. You’re an absolute sweetheart and an inspiration!!
Thanks for passing by and see you tomorrow with another star!!!

DAY 3- NOOR NAHDI

Tomorrow is the day of EID!!!! I'm so excited that we'll celebrate it together insha Allah. Our designer today is Noor, did you ever hear about her before?! :):):)

NOOR NAHDI

Know me more:
I'm Noor, a fresh graduate of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics program. I know it has nothing to do with card-making but I was so passionate towards crafts since childhood. Actually, I was obsessed to painting landscapes with oil, water and poster colors.
However, one day in summer 2009 everything changed. As I was browsing youtube preparing for my craft lesson at an Islamic centre, I encountered the world of making cards. I was so fascinated by a girl who made cute cards. Then my search continued to more links till I found myself very interested to this kind of craft. Since that day I'm making cards with different styles and techniques. Alhamdullilah, I find myself improving day by day but still I've to learn more.
I was always looking for a place to display my cards because there is no point to collect them for myself. Finally and after many trials they got a sweet home and that is Edible Arrangements!!! I was so excited to sell my cards beside their healthy and fresh fruit bouquets.
Thanks for taking your time to read.......

Some of my cards from the Eid collection:

Ok ladies, that's for now. Before you leave, I WISH YOU A VERY HAPPY AND BLESSED EID!!!!
See you tomorrow insha Allah with another fantastic girl...

DAY 2- NADIA ADAMS

It's the second day of Eid celebration!!! Today will feature a special crafty lady from South Africa. Please welcome with me - Nadia Adams....

NADIA ADAMS

Meet Nadia:
Hello, I’m Nadia Adams from Cape Town, South Africa. If you follow my blog, Crafty Muslimah, you will know me as Washi. As a child, my Mom taught me to knit and embroider. I was amazed that I could create something from a few strands of yarn or thread; but only developed a love for crafts much later. In 2004, I travelled to Saudi Arabia for Haj, and there my fascination with all things crafts was reawakened. I was very taken with the stitch-craft that the Saudi ladies occupy themselves with behind their high walls; plus was drawn to the Arabic calligraphy and sculpture on display in Makkah and Madinah. On my return, I asked a friend to give me a quick lesson in cross-stitch, and that was when the love affair began. I started going to craft fairs, and not only revived my love for knitting and crochet, but developed an affinity for all paper-crafts. Once I started making my own cards, it was a natural progression to learn origami, calligraphy and quilling in order to make my own card toppers. My signature style card toppers are almost always stitched, from cross-stitch motifs to miniature crochet amigurumi toys.

These are some of her awesome Eid creations:

Eid Mubarak card with the greeting cross-stitched onto dark green perforated paper, with matching origami backing paper on shiny card stock.

Big lilac card with Adha Mubarak calligraphy greeting. The Arabic script was penned with a 2.2mm manuscript nib and black india ink on shiny fern green origami paper, with transparent vellum parchment as a backing.

Thank you Nadia for the eye candies. You are truly inspiring to me with your sweet, simple style.
That's for now. Visit us tomorrow to meet another creative girl....
xoxo

DAY 1- AMNA AL FARDH

Greetings,
It's the week of EID!! Today and for the coming six days will be featuring talented designers from around the globe. They will share with us the joy of Eid by showcasing all the beautiful creations they've made for this unique occasion.
So let's start with Amna Al Fardh whom I call 'the Quilling Queen of UAE'.

AMNA AL FARDH
Blog: Mannayah

Know Amna:
My name is Amna Al Fardh, a paper quilling artisan from UAE. I'm currently working on establishing the first Arab quilling guild which is ( Emirates Quilling Guild ) for the purpose of spreading the art of paper quilling in the Middle East.
My paper crafts obsession started long time ago since I was probably 10 as I was practicing different things without knowing they were actual forms of art such as kirigami. I love everything to do with paper .. quilling .. punches .. and stamping. I enjoy making video tutorials about different crafts in Arabic since there aren't many on the internet.  You can see more of my creations in my website: www.mannayah.com.

Here are some of Amna's cute Eid creations:

Amna, I always appreciate the inspiration you bring to me and many others who have the opportunity to enjoy your designs. Thanks for being such a great artist, communicator and friend! Hugs!!
Thanks for joining us today and be sure to come back tomorrow....

Happy Wednesday,
Today's card contains one of my best patterned papers. I love the combination of red and black and maybe you do too?? Also white works so perfect with them....
First I tied a bow in front but then discovered that the design was almost covered. Then I placed it on one side but the card was resiting the envelope. So I just pulled the ribbon back and yeah it's good too :) Here it is:
