1. Tell us a little about yourself and your family
Hello!  I am so excited to be featured on the Fascinating Fridays Post on the Paperie Designs' Studio!  I am a big fan of Fascinating Friday's!! I live in Washington State with my wonderful husband and loving boy. I have a 23 year career as a contracts rates analyst and marine cargo claims specialist for an import/export produce shipping company.  I have lived in Washington State all of my life, however I love to travel.  Italy being my favorite destination of all (so far!)...Though I daydream of Prague, Spain, and Bali.  I love to craft any chance that I get and visit blogs of other crafters!  You guys out there make everything so worth it!

2. How and when did you start crafting?
I have always played with paper and crafts. From a young age I have loved to do crafts like candle making, and painting wood crafts as well as fancy wrapping gifts. I have made candles, soaps, jewelry and flower arrangements.  I LOVE getting crafty!

3. From where do you draw your inspiration?
I draw my inspiration from all over!  Mainly from card blog challenges and the awesome people I have met along the way. There are so many talented wonderful friendly people out there that are constantly growing and using new materials and techniques that are so inspiring! There are too many designers to name that I look to for wonderful work and inspiration!

4. How would you describe your style?
I think that I am a little unique as you never know what you will get when you visit my blog, come check it out sometime, you will see!  LOL! I may have a scrap page layout up, or a layered card, or a CAS "Clean and Simple" card posted.  I really love experimenting with all types of styles, CAS is a love that I am currently trying to sharpen my skills at.

5. What are the 5 top tools in your crafting space?
Inks, BOLD stamps, Bigshot, pop up foam tape, sponges.  I just LOVE "popping" up images or panels!

6. What’s your favorite technique?
I love experimenting with sponging and stencils, watercolor and STAMPS!

7. What are your go-to colors?
BLACK, I love black, aqua and teals. Anything BOLD!

8. Do you sell your projects?
I mainly send out my projects or cards as "Happy Mail" to friends or family. I have a few coworkers that buy my cards or have special ordered Christmas card sets.

9. What do you do when you aren't crafting? Job? Other hobbies and interests?
My love is raising my 11 yr old nephew as my own and taking him to Karate and just being with him!  I also make mini albums, dabble in Project Life and December Daily. I belong to a Card Club that meets every 4-6 weeks that is great fun.  I have also started getting together with local card bloggers in the PNW area as well.  Card making is definitely my passion!

10. Are you currently designing for any blog?
I design for CASology, the FUSION Challenge Blog, and the Unscripted Sketches Sketch Blog.  I would LOVE to have any of you visit me and the teams there!  Thanks for taking the time to get to know me!

Aren't these cards bright and beautiful :) Thank you Kimberly for sharing ur life and creativity with us. Please head over to her blog and take a peek into the colorful world of her awesomeness...

Stunning Suzanne

Hello pretty ladies ^_^ We've a rocking artist this Friday... you'll absolutely fall in love with her creations at first sight!! Her blog and projects are very clean and refreshing,,, Without further ado, let's introduce you to the sweetest eva Suzanne:
Name: Suzanne Dahlberg
1. Tell us a little bit about yourself and your blog.
I have been married to my best friend for seven years, and together we have an adorable dog named Teddy. We live in the Boston area, where we were born and raised and where I work doing cancer research in biostatistics and thoracic oncology. I share my creations on my blog at freshlynoted.com

2. How and why did you start crafting?
I've always enjoyed crafting, but after graduate school I met some wonderful ladies at a local craft store and they kindly took me under their wing and taught me the basics as I crafted my way through wedding preparations. After I moved away, I started blogging as a way to share my creations and keep up with the hobby on my own since I didn't know any other crafters in my new town.

3. How often do you craft? How would you describe your style?
I try to craft as often as possible because it helps me to relax and de-stress, and because it is fun for me! My style varies from clean and simple to more layered, but I love using fun colors, patterns, and graphic elements on my cards.

4. What are your can’t-live-without craft-room essentials?
I love my Tonic guillotine trimmer and Tombow liquid glue, as well as my Versafine Onyx black ink. I would be lost without my box of bling and tweezers for placing rhinestones and enamel dots on my cards!

5.  Where do you get inspiration? How do you stay creative?
I find a lot of inspiration on Pinterest these days by following other card makers or by searching for graphic design posters.

6.  What is your favorite medium to work with?
I am happiest when I have a patterned paper pad with matching embellishments that all come together just right.

7.  What’s the one craft skill you would love to master?
Project Life! I have been dabbling in this for a while, and I watch lots of videos online. I would love to organize myself enough to share my own pages online someday.

8.  What is your guilty pleasure?
I am so hooked on singing shows like The Voice and American Idol.

9.  What makes you smile?
My husband and my dog - I am so lucky!

10. What is your favorite thing to do (other than crafting of course)?
I love cooking, taking walks (especially with my dog), and going to the beach.

11. What do you do to keep yourself, your space and your time organized?
I constantly clean my craft room and sell or donate items that have been unloved to for too long because clutter in my craft space clutters my brain!

12. Are there any crafters/artists/designers that you particularly look up to?
So many! Should I list them all? Here are a few: Lea Lawson, Debby Hughes, Shari Carroll, Lisa Spangler, and Danielle Flanders. Their blogs & work bring me so much joy, all for different reasons.

Wow, such a feast for the eyes!! They are so cheerful and eye-catching cards... Thank you so much Suzanne for inspiring us today and thank you folks for passing by!!! Happy crafting :)

1.Tell us a little about yourself and your family. I live in fabulous [and warm] Arizona.  Best move we ever made, we love it here.  I have been married 23 years and have a 19 year old son who is in the Navy, currently stationed in Japan.

2.How and when did you start crafting?
I started stamping way back in 1996 to give myself something to do while my son took his naps.  A neighbor introduced me to SU and took me to a party -- that was the beginning of a fabulous relationship with stamps and ink.

3.From where do you draw your inspiration?
I get most of my inspiration from other stampers - sometimes I will go through magazines for color combinations.

4.How would you describe your style?
My style is CAS - clean and simple and also the newest description CAL - clean and layered.  I love seeing a lot of white on my cards.

5.What are the 5 top tools in your crafting space?
Definitely my mini scor pal and Big Shot, along with Spellbinders A2 Matting Basic A & B sets - I use these tools for EVERY CARD I make, and whenever I sponge, I use the large daubers.  I think that is 5.

6.What’s your favorite technique?
Layering and sponging are my most favorite techniques.

7.What are your go-to colors?
Anything bright - orange and green, aqua and red -- purple not so much.

8.Do you sell your projects?
I do sell to a shop in California.  It is on my "things to accomplish" to sell locally, but I am too busy stamping [lazy] to organize it!

9.What do you do when you aren't crafting? Job? Other hobbies and interests?
I work at Starbucks about 20 hours a week.  I was a Starbucks Store Manager in California, but when we moved here, I was able to go part time.  I have been with Starbucks for 15 years!  It is a fabulous job I must say.  I periodically read, but seriously - all I do is stamp.

10. Are you currently designing for any blog?
I design for a couple of companies; Inspired By Stamping, out of Australia, and STAMPlorations out of California, and I also design for A Walk Down Memory Lane, an on-line store.  I am on many blog challenge teams;  Just Us Girls, Addicted to CAS, Seize the Sketch, Muse, Cardabilities and my newest team, The Male Room.

Well now you know how popular she is and how busy with so many design teams to take care of :) Thank you Vicki for sharing your creativity with us. Please head over to her blog and take a peek into the fascinating world of her awesomeness...
