Fellow crafters it’s me Deepti who is doing the honors of featuring our 100th Artisan. It’s a milestone for Paperie Designs Studio and I have someone special to mark this occasion. She is popular amongst the crafters because of the elegance and simplicity of her designs. Her creations are immense inspiration for a lot of crafters and I am a big fan of her cards :) I am sure you too will love to know her better, so without holding you further, I present the talented Rosemary

Name – Rosemary

1. Tell us a little about yourself and your family.
I'm married and have two boys, ages 14 and almost 7.

2. How and when did you start crafting?
I always loved arts and crafts when I was a child, but really started crafting in my early 20s.  For the longest time, my favorite crafty hobby was cross-stitching and I created many cross-stitched pieces up until the birth of my oldest son. When he was about 18 months old I started scrapbooking and then with the encouragement of my friend, Cindy, slowly moved in to making cards.   In about 2007 I started looking online for paper crafting ideas, supplies, etc. and in 2008 I discovered PaperTrey Ink.  Up until then I had been purchasing stamps at stores and from Stampin Up! and Close to My Heart.  When I discovered PTI a whole new world opened up for me.  Around that same time I discovered the Hero Arts Flickr group and join in 2009.  Shortly after that I started a gallery at Splitcoaststampers, as well.   In 2010 I finally started a blog.

3. From where do you draw your inspiration?
I tend to find lots of inspiration in my stamps and supplies, especially my huge collection of patterned papers!  I love thumbing through the pads and putting together patterns and colors and then finding the right stamp to go with my idea.  I also draw a lot of inspiration from sketch and color challenges, especially color challenges.  One thing I'm trying to work on is finding inspiration in everyday objects like home décor items, etc.  I have always admired those paper crafters who can look at something like a television and come up with a fabulous card.   Me... not so much, lol!!

4. How would you describe your style?
My style is definitely clean and simple.  Even when I create something with layers I still tend to keep everything very clean.   I do enjoy creating the occasional shabby chic card, though.

5. What are the 5 top tools in your crafting space?
My top 5 tools are:  Cutter Bee precision tip scissors, Scor-Buddy, Big Shot die cutting machine, table top paper cutter and adhesive.

6. What’s your favorite technique?
One of my favorite techniques is paper piecing

7. What are your go-to colors?
Other than white or kraft I don't really have go to colors.  Certain color combos will strike my fancy and I will use them for a while and then move on to another combo, but I will always combine the colors with white or kraft.

8. Do you sell your projects?
I have sold some of my cards, mainly to family and friends.  But I don't have an Etsy shop or anything like that.

9. What do you do when you aren’t crafting? Job? Other hobbies and interests?
When I'm not crafting I generally do the usual things a mom does like taking the kids to activities, volunteering at school, etc.  I also enjoy taking my dog for long walks, although I'm not sure that she likes it, lol!   I do work occasionally, but not on a full time basis.

10. Are you currently designing for any blog?
Currently I design for CASology and on the 11th of June, I will have a big announcement that will involve designing for a major stamp company!

Wow!!! Congratulations Rosemary for your new venture into designing. We look forward to the announcement you will make on June 11th and thank you so much for sharing with us. I am sure you all enjoyed knowing Rosemary and her creativity and now my friends its time for you to get much more inspired by visiting her blog and don’t forget the giveaway. Your comments in any of the team members' blogs can bring you some great products :)  Good luck and Enjoy!!
